Comments About Our Bear Hunts

"Hello! I just had to write and tell you Thank you! My Dad has always wanted to go on a hunting trip for big game. After working at General Motors for 30 long years he retired in May of this year and for his retirement gift my Mom sent him on your Spring Black Bear Bow Hunt. His son, two brothers, niece and a friend took part on this wonderful expedition. My Dad and the others have not stopped talking about it since they got home 2 weeks ago. He had the time of his life. From all the stories I have heard over, and over again I couldn't be more impressed. They loved their guide, Gerry, the food, the lodging, the atmosphere, fishing, everything! Out of 6 people they bagged 4 bears! They have already started talking about a return trip for just the fishing. So on behalf of my Mom, and the rest of my family, Thank you so very much for making this such a wonderful experience for all of them but especially my Dad who so much deserved it! 	Emily Russel, 14 -Stockbridge, GA I would like to thank Gerry first off for his great company and great food. The trip wouldn't have been fun at all without him. He made it a blast. This was my first hunt, and even though I didn't get a bear, coming here was worth it. I'm young and I haven't seen much in this world, but I can honestly say that this has been the best time of my life. Thank you Gerry, I'll be back in 2003. I'm a fourteen year old girl who spent a week during the summer hunting for black bear in Canada, it's a bit out of the ordinary, I wouldn't change a thing.

	John W. Sargant - Linden, MI I found Gerry Risser on the internet while looking for someone who catered to Traditional bow hunters. I booked his "Black Claw" hunt for Spring Black Bear. From the beginning I was impressed as Gerry maintained great communication right up to the week before I left. Everything went just as his brochure says. Once I arrived in "Bearadise", his exceptional hunting & guiding skills placed me in an area where I saw bear activity the second night.Besides, the hunting camp is rustic but efficient and Gerry is an awesome cook. I will come back and advise my fellow hunters to book hunts with Gerry. Whether bear or caribou, I am sure everyone who hunts with Gerry will be satisfied.
	Ed Wagtowicz - Jackson, NJ I arrived in camp on a Monday morning, and was in my stand that night. I saw 6 bear on stand that night. One bear in particular came into the bait and presented me with a shot. The food was great. The lakes are clean and the landscape is beautiful. This is a beautiful place. The camp is relaxing. The other hunters in camp are reporting multiple sightings with some nice big bears being seen. I would recommend this hunt to anyone. Gerry is a fun guy with a few good stories.
	Vince Canobbio - Los Gatos, CA While there are many guys offering full-package hunts, Gerry Risser and Bowhunting Canada stands out as one of the best. Lakeshore accommodations, hungry Northern Pike, and "hot" baits make the Black Claw hunt exceptional. Gerry's extra effort to make my hunt memorable culminated in several fine opportunities for shots at quality bear. The hunt was better than advertised.
